Top winter trendy outfits to buy in 2020

The Covid winter is right around the corner! We call it the covid winter since we’ve spent the entire summer lounging in our homes, snuggling with the comfiest feather pillows, or lying in the bed 24/7. You would say it’s useless in a similar situation to dress up or do any kind of makeover because there’s nowhere to go, or no one to show off the style! But the die-hard fashionistas would disagree.

Even if you have to go to the mart, you shall dress up a little and just notice the lift it gives to your mood. Besides, the lockdown all around the world has been quite adaptive and with that being said, colleges and various workplaces are open to going. The surgical mask beats every other outfit of the season. After the mask comes what? For the answer to this question, we have compiled some top dress up trends of the year 2020, just so you have a bit of an idea about your clothing after an entire year dedicated to loungewear!

The Pastels

If you were the little girl who would want every birthday theme to be the unicorn one and loved collecting marshmallows for the colors more than for the taste, then this winter, you have won. The pastels are in the game and big. Society isn’t associating pastels with baby colors anymore.

Girls of all ages can flaunt their style in the sugary sweet colors this winter- get yourself a pastel-colored, one fit big, sweater or a sweatshirt and pair it with a short skirt in a deeper pastel shade, such as teal, and wear it with off white or cream-colored leggings underneath. You’re ready to go, this style doesn’t even need any jewelry because the colorful outfit is to the rescue!

The Good Old Turtle Necks

Remember when our moms would buy a dozen turtle necks for us to wear under our regular clothes, and we hated it? Well, now it’s time to show it some love. Like every other older fashion, the Turtle necks are also back in the picture.

If you’re going out for coffee or lunch, just wear a long-sleeved turtle in a bright color and pair it with some boyfriend jeans. If you’re 6ft tall, go for some extra flared jeans and complete the outfit with 2020 trendy square foot sandals!

Vintage- But Not Burberry

All of us remember the invasion of Burberry in our lives. But this winter, it’s almost a crime if we wear it one more time. 2020 has more of a 70s personality- with that being said- the clothes must be as rusty, out of shape, off-colored, as they can be. By off color, we mean all the faded and toned shades of brown, mahogany, beige, and coal grey.

How do you match a vintage outfit? Go to your nearest thrift store- since the original vintage is ridiculously pricey- and get yourself some oversized long coats; preferably in the creamy color brown. For pants, also get wide-cut cotton pants that would cover your shoes as well.

To give this grandpa look a little bit of a shape, wear a white waist or a white T-shirt under your long coat and that would define your body. To complete this classic and rad look, give your face a little touch up with subtle red lip color and add gold hoop earrings.

Did We Forget Neon!

Neon is that kid in the class whose talent had been overlooked ever since, and finally, a far-sighted teacher discovered the absolute hidden worth of his. Needless to say, neon is still ignored a lot because of how catchy the hues are.

This winter, you shall contrast the cool and covert weather with your vibrant and overt neon outfit. Either a short dress, a denim jacket, a sweatshirt, or a blazer- neon suits everything. Pair the top with baggy jeans and a pair of Nike air shoes.

So simple yet so stylish. You can complete the outfit with brown shades and brown hoop earrings if you want to.

Slouched leather boots

No outfit is complete without a handsome pair of footwear. This fall and winter go for the cream-colored knee high slouch boots. If you’re going to an open-air formal event- get yourself a cream or beige colored knitted long sweater in your perfect fit or size to make it work as a dress! If you want to, you can wear the thigh-high black stockings just to add an extra oomph as well as to cover the bare skin from the cool wind.

For shades, go for the small oval frames, and hair make a tight bun on the edge. You can even add a beige-colored babushka scarf! A dark brown velvety overcoat won’t hurt as well if you want extra comfort and warmth.

Green is the color of 2020

Green is not that bad after all!- wear a completely green outfit. Keep in mind the many different shades of green from grass green, banana green, or mint, to army green, moss, olive green- what is it that green doesn’t have? If you’re choosing a forest green for the top then make sure to contrast it with something like moss or olive green. Similarly, while you wear army green sweatpants, pair it with a tea green top to balance the hues out.

Your Absolute Academia Look

You’ve likely heard or read the word dark academia while scrolling through the internet- and maybe you deemed the phrase something academics related. However, dark academia has a full-fledged winter outfit theme going on. This look, giving a nerdy vibe is best for going to college and make the boring lectures bearable with your trendiest outfit.

Get yourself an army brown trench coat and pair that with the plaid pants. For under the coat, wear a plain white T-shirt. Complete the outfit with black polished bus boy shoes, along with black socks.

You’re not going to receive less than a dozen validating nods when you enter the college library. No jewelry required, just tie your hair in a black velvet scrunchie and your look is final!
